Rules & Regulations

1. Posting Etiquette
We think it’s important that you talk in a manner in which you sound educated. This basically means that you should write with proper grammar and spelling. Of course we are not going to take any action if you make a typing error or mistake, and we are not talking about banning you for talking in slang, but we would prefer it if you tried to talk in an full English. This also means that things such as block caps should be used for effect; not to be used to tell us that you’re making tea. Also: please stay on topic when replying to something (of course this doesn't effect threads such as open chat).

2. Language
Here at the FameMB we allow our users to swear, It's called freedom of speech. On the other hand, there is a fine line between just cussing/swearing and swearing at someone in a vile way. For example calling someone a "cunt" in friendly banter is ok but It's immature to use it in an aggressive way and you will be punished.

3. Spamming
We do not accept our users 'flooding' or constantly posting messages for no reason, whether or not they are the same.

4. Bulling / Abuse
Don't target anyone with abuse or bullying. It will NOT be tolerated. Furthermore; Racism, Sexism and Homophobia are taken very seriously and will result in a temporary or permanent ban!

5. Arguing
We don't care if someone is provoking you, if you report them they will be punished. But if you retaliate then you will both be punished. It takes two to tango and people will grow tired of arguing with nothing. FameMB did not start out as a negative place and it will stay that way. We know everyone has bad days - but don't take it out on other members; you will only end up having a worse day when you realise you posting abilities have been disabled or you have been banned...

6. Process of Reporting
We have a large number of moderaters on the boards to keep everything in line, but of course they also have lives outside of the boards, which means they cannot see everything. If you have seen something which you find breaks the rules or you find offensive then please use the report button at the bottom left side of the post. A mod or admin will then see this in the reports center where they can take action or discuss the problem.

7. Profile Requirements
We recommend that, if you are using one, you make your avatar 200px wide in order to fit in with the member titles. Your signature must also be smaller than 500px wide to avoid stretching the page.

8. Sets & Image Sizes
Recently members seem to be going GIF mad, seriously. Therefore we are now enforcing this rule: Only 1 part of you set may be an animated GIF, this means that you cannot have an animated GIF both your avatar and signature. Furthermore: animated GIFs cannot be over 1.7MB - this is because large GIFs can cause pages to lag while trying to scroll down the page. This rule will be enforced.

9. We have the right.
Any member of our staff maintains the right to:


  • Delete any post which we believe contains information which breaks any of the above rules or is not appropriate to the boards.
  • Edit any post which we believe contains information which breaks any of the above rules or is not appropriate to the boards.
  • Remove any inappropriate data from your profile
  • Remove your avatar or signature if the content is inappropriate or is over the size limit
  • Take any of the above listed actions without warning.

10. And finally...
Most importantly, the boards are here for you to interact, socialize and have fun! We don't want to be a community that controls it's users to the point that they are unable to express themselves, speak your mind and express yourself - just don't do things that you wouldn't like others to.
